During Summer 2018 I was interning at Schenley, a content creation agency. I worked as a Digital Marketing Specialist and was responsible for the social media of two different companies.
The first was Fauna Care, a healing spray for animals. I was fortunate enough to take full reigns on their Facebook and Instagram. I created my own graphics and kept up on the posting schedule given to me. I used Canva to create all of my graphics, which you can see in my Samples tab. I did the same work for Smokehouse Grill, a catering company in Maryland.
I worked remotely, which taught me how to be self-sufficient and time management. I only spoke to my boss every other week when we had meetings and would send her emails any times I would have questions. This was the first time I had to be responsible for so much and figure out how to get it done by the dead lines. I did not miss one deadline while creating content and when I had less to do, I would help write blog posts for different companies.
I found that I enjoy being self-sufficient and working at my own pace. I got things done quickly and would have time to double check everything I had. I also loved having multiple tasks to do at once. This gave me the opportunity to take a break from once thing when I felt that I ran out of ideas.
